Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh Pays Tribute to Raja Ram Mohan Roy on His Punyatithi
Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh paid humble tributes to social reformer and pioneer of the Indian Renaissance, Raja Ram Mohan Roy on Sunday.
In a social media post, Shri Rajnath Singh recalled the transformative contribution of Raja Ram Mohan Roy towards social reform and the awakening of society. He said that Raja Ram Mohan Roy paved a new path for change during an era when society was bound by numerous regressive customs.
The Raksha Mantri highlighted Raja Ram Mohan Roy’s emphasis on education, rationality and human dignity, stating that his ideas fostered a new consciousness of awakening and reform in society. He also recalled his efforts towards women’s education, social equality and modern education, which gave fresh momentum to the cause of social reform.
