Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh Mourns Loss of Five Air Warriors after An-32 Crash in Assam

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh has expressed profound grief over the loss of five Indian Air Force personnel who lost their lives in the An-32 aircraft accident near Jorhat in Assam this morning.

In a message shared on social media platform ‘X’, the Raksha Mantri said he was “deeply anguished” by the tragic incident and paid tribute to the air warriors who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty. The deceased personnel were identified by the Indian Air Force as Squadron Leader Prashant Singh, Flight Lieutenant Shubham Kumar, Sergeant Jitendra Sharma, Agniveervayu Khemaram Kumawat and Agniveervayu Danish Alam.

Shri Rajnath Singh lauded their courage, dedication and unwavering commitment to the nation, stating that their service and sacrifice would always be remembered with pride and gratitude.

Expressing his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, the Raksha Mantri assured them that the nation stands firmly with them during this difficult time. He also conveyed solidarity with the families as they cope with the immense loss.
