Raksha Mantri Pays Tribute to Veer Savarkar on his Jayanti; praises his contribution to India’s Freedom Struggle
Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh paid heartfelt tributes to freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar on his Jayanti, praising his immense contribution to India’s freedom struggle and nation-building.
In a message shared on social media, Shri Rajnath Singh described Veer Savarkar as a staunch nationalist thinker, a powerful orator, a poet and a philosopher. He said that Savarkar endured immense suffering and torture while dedicating his entire life to the cause of India’s independence.
The Raksha Mantri stated that Savarkar’s life remains an unforgettable lore of sacrifice, struggle and selfless service to the nation. He further added that Savarkar’s unwavering devotion to the motherland and his commitment to nation-building would continue to inspire generations of Indians.
