Rajnath Singh congratulates CISF on 46th Raising Day

The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh has congratulated the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on the occasion of its 46th Raising Day, here today. The Home Minister has attended the function as Chief Guest and inspected the Guard of Honour.

While addressing, Shri Rajnath Singh said that the CISF is a paramilitary force which has maximum public interaction and acts as a public interface. CISF is a dynamic force and also a well diversified force and it should retain its core competence, he added. The Home Minister has advised the CISF that it should carry out special security audits at all important strategic installations every four months to increase its preparedness.

The Union Home Minister said that since India is heading to be an economic superpower, the CISF has to take the responsibility of becoming `Pragati Ke Sajag Prahari`. He expressed his happiness over the CISF providing security consultancy services and said if it is marketed aggressively, CISF can become a big player in this area. The CISF is capable to meet the security challenges and it is ready to become one of the most modern and hi-tech security force of our country, he added.

The Director General, CISF, Shri Arvind Ranjan, Directors General and senior officers of Central Paramilitary Forces were present on the occasion.

An impressive display of Rifle Drill, Fire-fighting and VIP Security were presented.
