BJP national president Rajnath Singh on Friday said Congress has virtually accepted defeat in 2014 Lok Sabha polls and its desperate leaders were making last ditch efforts to revive their prospects by any means.

“Congress is stooping to extremely low levels. Its leaders have gained expertise in the politics of hatred. We expect many more such fake and planted exposes before Lok Sabha polls,” said Singh, replying to Swami Assemanand’s interview to a magazine, who alleged said that he abetted bomb blasts at various Muslim dominated places at the behest of RSS functionaries, including Mohan Bhagwat.

Singh was here to inaugurate a two-day training programme for 163 elected party MLAs at the OTS Hall in the city. He said RSS has a proven track record of patriotism and selfless service to humanity. “Instead of indulging in divisive politics, Congress leaders should come clean on their poll plank,” he said.

He cited the example of Rajasthan where two out of four Muslim candidates from BJP won the assembly polls where as all 16 Muslim candidates of Congress were defeated. “Muslims have realized the actual intentions of Congress and they have now started supporting the BJP. We expect to consolidate this trend in Lok Sabha too,” he added.

BJP chief said even as the nation is struggling on various fronts, the Congress leadership is least worried about tackling issues of strategic importance. “Recently the National Assembly of Pakistan passed a legislation seeking plebiscite in Jammu and Kashmir. But unfortunately, the UPA government has not bothered to condemn Pakistan. I demand a firm stand from the Centre and want the

Centre to question Pakistan’s audacity of interfering in our internal issues,” he said. He said the UN resolution signed by the countries in 1948 had specifically laid down conditions for truce and ceasefire, which Pakistan has regularly violated.
