Will take everyone into confidence: Rajnath Singh on Parliament business
With Congress and some other parties continuing to oppose the proposed insurance Bill, Home Minister Rajnath Singh today said the government will try its best to “take into confidence” everyone to get the legislation through in the Parliament.
“Our attempt will be to take everyone (all parties) into confidence and get all our bills passed in both the houses of Parliament” Singh said on the sidelines of an event here.
The deadlock continued over the Bill with Congress some of its allies opposing the Narendra Modi government’s first major economic reform initiative.
As the Opposition stuck to its stand, government sought their cooperation for passage of the “most progressive reform” at a time when penetration of insurance was very low.
