Meeting held at Shri Rajnath Singh residence on ‘KHEL SANSAD’
BJP Will draft the National Sports Policy : Shri Rajnath Singh
BJP National President Shri Rajnath Singh today on 29-12-13 addressed BJP Sports Cell meeting held at his residence 38, Ashoka Road. The meeting was called regarding the mega event “Khel Sansad”, that will be held at Ramlila Maidan on 9th February 2014.
The meeting was preceded by National Sports Cell Convenor Shri Ashok Aggrawal. On this occasion Shri Aggrawal introduced all the state convenors and co-convenors of the BJP Sports Cell and asked Shri Singh for his guidance for the upcoming event ‘Khel Sansad’.
Shri Rajnath Singh while conveying his message said that it is the time to encourage and promote the sports and sportsmen in the country. Shri Singh said that National Sports Policy is the need of the hour as the condition of sports and sportsmen in the country is not good. He said that while other countries win so many medals at the Olympics and other world championships, India having such a huge population fail to grab medals. He asked all the Convenors and Co-convenors to prepare a draft for the upliftment of Sports and Sportsmen in the country. He also said that the draft will be included in the vision document and indubitably be implemented as and when BJP will be in the Center.
On this occasion, National Co-convenor Shri Sunil Gupta and all states Convenor and Co-convenors attended the meet.
