Continuing his efforts to reach out the national parties to garner support to the cause of Samiakyandhra, YSR Congress president Y S Jagnamohan Reddy on Sunday called on the BJP national president Rajnath Singh in Delhi and handed over him a memorandum.
The meeting comes at a time when the BJP is apparently veering out from its pro-division stand to the policy of protecting the interest of the people of Seemandhra. And it also assumes significance in the light of Jagan Reddy praising Narendra Modi recently in a press conference fueling speculations that YSR Congress is open to the idea of even joining NDA after the 2014 elections.During the meeting that lasted about one and half an hour, Jagan, who was accompanied by other party leaders, handed over a memorandum to Rajnath Singh on the bifurcation issue, listing reasons why his party was opposed to the bifurcation move.
Jagan sought the support of the BJP to defeat the Telangana Bill in Parliament.
