BJP leaders to donate one month’s salary for LS poll campaign

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Rajnath Singh has appealed party members to contribute for ‘NaMo for PM’ fund in the run-up to the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.

“I appeal to all the elected representatives of the BJP to donate their one month’s salary to Modi for PM Fund,” Rajnath Singh tweeted on Tuesday.

The party has launched a website for fund-raising for the elections last month in Goa when Rajnath kickstarted the campaign by donating Rs 1,000 himself.

The campaign was introduced with an idea of ‘one note-one vote’ to establish direct connection with the voters.

To raise funds for the cause, the BJP has been seeking contributions ranging from Rs 5 to 10 from people attending Modi’s rallies across the country.
