New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry said on Tuesday that food, water, boats, heavy duty submersible pumps amongst other things had been sent to flood-affected areas in Jammu and Kashmir. The ministry posted on the micro-blogging site Twitter that after the “review meeting today food water supply was being stepped up with dispatch of 125000 packets of biscuits, 100000 litres of water to J&K. It also said, “Availability of boats is being augmented further with inflatable boats and fibre glass boats with out-board motors. Over 250 boats active.”
