In what is called the worst rainfall in a century, the flood situation continues to remain grim in Chennai and several parts of Tamil Nadu. The torrential rains have created havoc and nearly everyone in the area and the surrounding coastal regions have been affected in one way or the other. The seriousness of the situation can be gauged from the fact that personnel from all three defence services have been pressed into relief and rescue work.
