PM Modi has understood difficulties of NRIs, says Rajnath Singh Jan. 9,2015 .
Gandhinagar, Jan. 9 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi understood the difficulties faced by Non-Resident Indians (NRI), and therefore, worked to merge the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) schemes.
He said that the discrepancies in the PIO and OCI have been removed and an ordinance in this regard has been approved by the President of India.
