Union Home Minister reviews ITBP issues today

The Union Home Minister, Shri Rajnath Singh reviewing the issues of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in a meeting, in New Delhi on September 30, 2016.  The Ministers of State for Home Affairs, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir and Shri Kiren Rijiju, the Union Home Secretary, Shri Rajiv Mehrishi, the Secretary (Border Management), Shri Susheel Kumar, the Director General, ITBP, Shri D.K. Chaudhary and senior officers from ITBP and MHA are also seen.

Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh reviewed the issues of Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in a meeting held here today.

During the meeting, issues relating to ITBP strength at Border Out Posts, construction and up- gradation of helipads, additional air courier services for the force, issues relating to housing, health and Education facilities for ITBP personnel were discussed in details.

Director General, ITBP, Shri D.K.Chaudhary made a presentation and informed that the cadre management and other issues of the force could be further improved.

Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh asked the MHA officials to extend necessary assistance to the ITBP for the welfare of the jawans and their families and provide them training and better equipments.

The meeting was attended by MoS, Shri Hansraj Gangaram Ahir, MoS Shri Kiren Rijiju, Union Home Secretary Shri Rajiv Mehrishi , Secretary (Border Management) Shri Susheel Kumar and senior officers from ITBP and MHA.
