Raksha Mantri extends greetings on Mahavir Jayanti, highlights message of Peace and Harmony
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh extended his warm greetings to citizens across the country on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti.
In a message shared on social media platform ‘X’, the Defence Minister emphasized the timeless relevance of the teachings of Lord Mahavir. He noted that Lord Mahavir’s philosophy, deeply rooted in peace and harmony, holds immense value not just for India but for the entire world.
Shri Rajnath Singh expressed hope that the ideals propagated by Lord Mahavir would continue to inspire people to lead lives guided by compassion, non-violence and discipline. He also conveyed his sincere wishes for the well-being and prosperity of all citizens, invoking Lord Mahavir’s blessings on the occasion.
Mahavir Jayanti, one of the most significant festivals in Jainism, is celebrated with great devotion and reverence across India, marking the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir.
