Raksha Mantri pays tribute to Jallianwala Bagh Martyrs, calls it a defining moment in India’s Freedom Struggle

Marking the Remembrance Day of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh paid heartfelt tributes to the innocent Indians who lost their lives in one of the darkest chapters of the country’s colonial past.

In a message shared on social media platform ‘X’, Rajnath Singh remembered the victims of the 1919 tragedy, describing their sacrifice as a defining moment in India’s freedom struggle. He noted that the incident awakened the collective conscience of the nation and strengthened the resolve to fight for independence.

The Raksha Mantri also noted that the courage and sacrifice of those who perished continue to inspire generations to stand for justice, dignity and self-respect. He emphasized the importance of remembering such historic events to preserve the values of freedom and national unity.
