Raksha Mantri pays tribute to freedom fighter Shyamji Krishna Varma on his Jayanti

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh paid homage to the legendary freedom fighter and nationalist thinker Shri Shyamji Krishna Varma on his Jayanti, acknowledging his invaluable contribution to India’s struggle for Independence.

In a post shared on social media platform ‘X’, RM remembered Shyamji Varma’s enduring legacy and highlighted his pioneering role in India’s freedom movement.

Raksha Mantri further emphasized that Shyamji Krishna Varma’s life and ideas continue to serve as a beacon for India’s progress towards strength and self-reliance.

Shyamji Krishna Varma, born in 1857, was a staunch advocate of India’s complete independence from British rule. He established the ‘India House’ in London in 1905, which became a hub for Indian student activists and revolutionaries.
