Raksha Mantri pays tribute to Chaudhary Charan Singh on National Farmers’ Day

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh paid tribute to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary, observed as National Farmers’ Day on Tuesday. In a message shared on social media, Raksha Mantri remembered Charan Singh as a leader who placed farmers at the center of national policy and regarded villages as the true strength of India.

Highlighting his lifelong commitment, the Raksha Mantri said that Chaudhary Charan Singh dedicated himself to fighting for the rights, dignity, and self-reliance of farmers, and that his contributions to the country’s development and the welfare of the farming community would always be remembered.

Shri Rajnath Singh also noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is carrying forward this farmer-centric vision. He said sustained efforts are being made to increase farmers’ income, ensure their security, and promote their overall well-being, in line with the ideals championed by Chaudhary Charan Singh.
