Defence Minister Rajnath Singh paid heartfelt tribute to three of the nation’s most revered freedom fighters- Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Thapar, and Shivaram Rajguru on Martyr’s Day.
In a message shared on social media, Shri Rajnath Singh expressed his humble salutations to the immortal sons of Mother India, honouring their unparalleled courage, selflessness, and sacrifice. He noted that their unwavering determination to free the nation from colonial rule remains a defining chapter in India’s freedom struggle.
The Defence Minister highlighted that the legacy of these revolutionaries continues to serve as a powerful source of inspiration for future generations. He emphasised that their patriotism and supreme sacrifice would forever be remembered and revered by the nation.
March 23 is observed annually as Martyrs’ Day in India to commemorate the execution of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru in 1931, whose actions and ideals played a crucial role in galvanizing the independence movement.
