Raksha Mantri pays tribute to Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay on his Punyatithi, highlights Legacy of ‘Vande Mataram’

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh paid heartfelt tribute to renowned writer and nationalist thinker Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay on his Punyatithi, praising his immense contribution to India’s freedom consciousness and cultural identity.

In a message shared on ‘X’, Rajnath Singh described Bankim Chandra as a visionary who ignited the spirit of patriotism across the country through his powerful writings. He emphasized that Bankim Chandra’s work went beyond literature, serving as a rallying force during India’s struggle against British colonial rule.

The Raksha Mantri noted that at a time when the nation was grappling with injustice and exploitation, Bankim Chandra played a crucial role in awakening self-respect and courage among Indians.
