Defence Minister Rajnath Singh expressed deep sorrow over the death of two Indian Air Force pilots who lost their lives in a tragic crash involving a Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet.
In a message shared on social media, Raksha Mantri said he was “deeply saddened” by the loss of Sqn Ldr Anuj and Flt Lt Purvesh Duragkar, describing their sacrifice and service to the nation as one that will always be remembered with pride and gratitude.
“Their courage and service to the nation will always be remembered with pride and gratitude. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families,” the Defence Minister wrote. He also assured that the nation stands firmly with the families of the fallen officers in this hour of grief.
The two officers died when their Su-30 fighter aircraft crashed during a training operation.
