Raksha Mantri extends greetings on Hindi Diwas, calls for preservation of Indian Languages
On the occasion of Hindi Diwas, India’s Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh extended heartfelt greetings to the nation, emphasizing the significance of Hindi as a vital thread in India’s cultural identity and emotional unity.
Raksha Mantri highlighted the pivotal role Hindi has played in India’s journey, stating that “from the freedom struggle till today, Hindi has played an important role in connecting the country.”
Calling upon citizens to collectively uphold India’s linguistic heritage, Raksha Mantri urged the nation to pledge for preservation and the promotion of Hindi and all Indian languages.
Hindi Diwas is observed annually on September 14 to commemorate the adoption of Hindi as one of the official languages of India by the Constituent Assembly in 1949. The day serves as a reminder of the country’s rich linguistic diversity and the importance of preserving indigenous languages.
