The Raksha Mantri commended the NSG’s professionalism and valour, describing them as a reflection of the indomitable spirit of India’s security forces. He expressed confidence that the elite commando force would continue to scale greater heights of success in service to the nation.

The National Security Guard, popularly known as the “Black Cats,” was established in 1984 as a federal contingency force to combat terrorism and handle hostage rescue operations. Over the years, it has earned a formidable reputation for its swift, precise, and courageous operations across the country.
