Raksha Mantri Pays Rich Tributes to Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar on his Punyatithi

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh on Wednesday paid heartfelt tributes to eminent social reformer and educationist Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar on his Punyatithi, remembering his extraordinary contributions to social reform and education in India.

In a post on ‘X’, the Raksha Mantri described Vidyasagar as a towering personality whose relentless efforts towards the promotion of women’s education, advocacy of widow remarriage, and campaign against social evils brought about transformative changes in Indian society. He said Vidyasagar’s pioneering work remains etched in golden letters in the nation’s social history.
