Jewar Airport Phase-1 Inaugurated by PM Narendra Modi in Noida; Shri Rajnath Singh calls it a ‘Monumental Achievement for New India’

India’s Defence Minister Shri Rajnath Singh hailed the inauguration of the first phase of the Noida International Airport at Jewar as a significant and monumental achievement for both Uttar Pradesh and the nation.

In a statement shared on ‘X, Shri Rajnath Singh congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for inaugurating the much-anticipated project, emphasizing that the airport is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and is expected to give a major boost to the country’s economy. He noted that the project will also open up new employment opportunities, particularly benefiting the youth.

Highlighting his personal connection to the project, Raksha Mantri recalled that the proposal for the airport at Jewar was first approved during his tenure as Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh in 2001. He remarked that despite facing years of delays, the project has finally materialized due to the “visionary leadership” of Prime Minister Modi and the persistent efforts of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The Defence Minister described the airport as a symbol of a “New India,” reflecting the country’s growing strength, infrastructure development and determination to achieve large-scale national goals.

The Noida International Airport at Jewar is expected to emerge as a major aviation hub in northern India, enhancing connectivity and accelerating regional development.
