Often remembered as the “Loknayak” or “Leader of the People,” Jayaprakash Narayan played a vital role in India’s independence movement and later emerged as a towering moral force in Indian politics, especially during the turbulent period of the Emergency (1975-77). His advocacy for a “Total Revolution” called for sweeping changes in the social, political, and economic fabric of the nation, galvanizing masses across the country.
