Raksha Mantri pays tribute to Lt Col Ardeshir Tarapore on his ‘Balidan Diwas’

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh paid heartfelt tribute to Param Vir Chakra (Posthumous) awardee Lt Col Ardeshir Burzorji Tarapore on his ‘Balidan Diwas’, remembering his extraordinary bravery and supreme sacrifice during the 1965 Indo-Pak war.

Lt Col Tarapore led his regiment with unparalleled courage and valour during the 1965 war. Despite sustaining severe injuries, he continued to lead his troops, destroying numerous enemy tanks before making the ultimate sacrifice on the battlefield.

Posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, India’s highest military decoration for valor in the face of the enemy, Lt Col Tarapore remains a symbol of courage, duty, and selfless service.

Raksha Mantri added that the indomitable spirit and supreme sacrifice of Lt Col Tarapore will continue to inspire generations.
