Dr. Bhupen Hazarika, one of India’s most revered cultural icons, was known for his powerful and poetic voice that transcended geographical and linguistic barriers. Hazarika ji played a pivotal role in introducing Assamese culture to the national stage. His songs, often laced with themes of love, justice and harmony, remain timeless. Awarded the Bharat Ratna posthumously in 2019, Raksha Mantri said Dr. Hazarika’s work continues to resonate and inspire people of all generations.
