Raksha Mantri pays homage to victims of Partition on Remembrance Day

Recalling that painful chapter of 1947 on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, Raksha Mantri paid tribute to all those brothers and sisters who suffered the terrible consequences of the partition. During partition, India witnessed an enormous amount of hatred and violence where people eyewitnessed loss of life and property. RM said that even to this day, every Indian has sympathy for those who have suffered during the partition. RM said the government is fully committed to further strengthening social harmony in the country.

In a post on ‘X”, RM said, “विभाजन विभीषिका स्मृति दिवस पर 1947 के उस दर्दनाक अध्याय को स्मरण करते हुए, मैं उन सभी भाइयों-बहनों को श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित करता हूँ, जिन्हें भारत के विभाजन के बाद नफरत और हिंसा के भयावह परिणाम भुगतने पड़े और जन-धन की हानि देखनी पड़ी। उन पीड़ित परिवारों के प्रति आज भी हर भारतीय के भीतर एक संवेदना है। हम लोग देश में सामाजिक सौहार्द को और मज़बूत करने के प्रति पूरी तरह प्रतिबद्ध हैं।”
