Campaigning Ends In Uttar Pradesh, HM Addresses More Than 100 Election Meetings In 26 Days

Rajnath Singh waving to people in Chakia, Uttar Pradesh After addressing public meetings in 100+ constituencies, covering the distance that stretched nearly 20000 kilometers, Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh concludes his poll campaign in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

Campaign for seventh and final phase of 2017 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, covering 40 assembly seats in seven districts concluded on Monday. The seven districts going to polls on March 08 in this phase are Ghazipur, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Chandauli, Mirzapur, Bhadoi and Sonebhadra.

On Monday Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh addressed public meetings at different places near Varanasi that included Ghazipur and Chandauli. This brings the number of public meetings and election rallies addressed by Shri Rajnath Singh at different places in poll bound Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur to 125 constituencies.

In his 26 days campaigning travel, Shri Singh covered numerous districts in poll bound state of Uttar Pradesh. Shri Singh travelled nearly 20000 kilometers in total in last 26 days.

Kickstarting Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) campaign for the Uttar Pradesh assembly polls, Shri Singh on the very first day on February 3, travelled more than 1000 kilometers addressing rallies in Kasta, Bharthana and Saifai constituencies in Uttar Pradesh.

During the entire poll campaign, holding more than 100 public meetings, Shri Singh asked people of Uttar Pradesh to help Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) form a government in the State for the State’s better future.

On several occasions he reminded people of Uttar Pradesh  how the decisive mandate that people of Uttar Pradesh gave; by helping Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) win more than 70 seats in 2014 Lok Sabha elections, helped BJP form a decisive and strong government at Centre, that ushered India into a new era of development and growth.

At all the public meetings that Shri Singh addressed he reminded people that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wants to win the elections but not just to form the government but for building and transforming Uttar Pradesh not just into a उत्तम (good) state but into सर्वोत्तम (best) state in the country.
